Since 1970 Kingfisher has produced lake maps for boating, fishing and recreation on many of America's hottest lakes. Kingfisher lake maps are Waterproof and Tear Resistant. They feature information such as access areas, facilities, water hazards, and more. Most Kingfisher lake maps show contour information so that you can track down the fish and avoid obstacles.

Strom Thurmond/Clarks Hill Lake, SC and GA
On the border of South Carolina and Georgia. 1:63,000 1-sided 25"x38".. Lake Thurmond is a huge 70,000 acre with a shoreline of 1,200 miles. Formerly known as Clarks Hill Reservoir, it is the third lake in a chain of lakes built by the U.S. Corps of Engineers on the Savannah River near North Augusta, SC and Augusta Georgia. All three of these lakes, Hartwell (56,000 acres), Russell (26,450 acres) and Thurmond share a border with Georgia. Lake Thurmond is truly a great fishing lake. The stripers here grow to enormous size, and the lake once held the state record for a striped bass over 50 lbs. Largemouth bass also grow very large here. Sometimes you can see the big bass just cruising the shoreline. But beware, there are plenty of giant bass here that qualify to be "the one that got away."

Kingfisher Maps
Lake Russell and Secession Lake, South Carolina
1:42,000 1-sided 25"x38" Located on the South Carolina and Georgia Border. Lake Russell is one of three lakes on the Savannah River between South Carolina and Georgia managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Lake Russell sits on 26,250 acres, a shore line of 540 miles and a maximum depth of 147 ft. For fisherman, Russell provides a wealth of habitat for all kinds of fish. Largemouth bass fishing in Russell is especially good. Bass tournaments are held through out the year on Russell. When the lake was constructed, many areas of uncut timber were left in place and marked for fisherman and for boaters. Consequently, the Corps has placed other types of cover around the lake such as, tires and cedar trees.
