The Keys and South Florida are blessed with a very good selection of charters because it is a perfect departure. There are no long runs to good fishing making the most of your fishing time. Prime fishing waters are so close that some guides come in for lunch -- in winter you can fish for Sailfish right past the reef. Expect to catch Sailfish and Marlin, Wahoo and Dolphin, Yellowtail, Mutton Snapper, Grouper and Kingfish, and much else in the bigger water. And expect to catch good fish year round in the Florida Keys.

Backcountry fishing can also be a short, comfortable boat ride away from much of this area. Expect to catch Redfish, Snook, Sea Trout, Tarpon, Bonefish, Permit and many other fish in the backcountry.
