Pickwick Lake, Alabama
Pickwick Lake has often been called the best trophy smallmouth fishery in the country. The lake regularly produces smallies in the 2- to 3-pound range and it is not uncommon to find 5- to 6-pound fish. There is also an abundant population of trophy size largemouth in Pickwick. While 5- to 8-pound fish are frequently caught, a few trophies exceeding 10 pounds are taken annually. Also Striped Bass and Catfish fishing.

Weiss Lake is known for its robust fishery and excellent crappie population; in fact, it is often referred to as "the crappie capital of the world."
